I'm being ridiculous! I'm being ridiculous and I know it. I just can't help it. I wish I could stop being ridiculous and start being normal and non-ridiculous. But it's not in the cards, at least not for now. So I'll go on being ridiculous and silly and weird and odd. I just hope it doesn't drive me completely insane.

On a positive note, 6 months have passed since I started taking responsibility for my actions and my life. This means that by the end of this year, I will hopefully FINALLY have that piece of paper that says I graduated college. Now if I could just find a job that pays the bills and has enough leftover to put into my savings for a congratulatory trip. Here's hoping.

  1. I like you just fine when you're ridiculous. You're funny, witty, and outrageous without being mean. In fact, you always manage to be kind and self-effacing, which is an endearing quality. Please don't change!

  2. Oh, and THANK YOU for spelling ridiculous correctly. Not that I'm a spelling and grammar Nazi (ok, I am), but amongst the recurring thorns in my side as I browse the cyberweb are the following:

    Loose (instead of "lose")
Rediculous (instead of with an "i")
    and...
    and...

Grr, I've gotten so flustered that I'm blanking out on my bugaboo list. There are about a half-dozen or more VERY COMMON errors out there that make me want to tear my hair out. And I'm not talking about its/it's or there/their/they're... I mean, we all make those mistakes since we're typing very quickly, and hopefully most of us know which is which if we were asked on a test (though sadly, many don't).

No, there are perfectly nice words and phrases which people continually butcher, and which cannot simply be a case of using the wrong homonym, since what is typed isn't valid in any sense, it's just wrong.

I'll post my list of the worst offenses when it comes back to me. Trying too hard to think of anything is the worst way to remember it.

  3. :) Thank you, that was very sweet of you to say. Yay for spelling! If I don't know how to spell something, I google it to make sure. It's a pet peeve of mine as well.
